Post nasal drip: check out "Understanding LPR" on You Tube. This describes the most common cause of PND and tongue irritation, silent reflux. If you can modify your lifestyle as suggested, you'll feel better. If not, you may need to see an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor near you.

Yes: Yes, the chronic post nasal drip is likely causing you to be more of a mouth breather. This causes change in the quality and character of the saliva hence dry mouth, coated tongue, probably bad breath, etc. The scalloped or crenated tongue may be an indication of other health issues such as hypothyroidism
