A member asked:

Is a rna hiv test conclusive at 7 weeks from high risk exposure or retest at 12 weeks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Retest: I think that today's tests are conclusive at 7 weeks. However, you're also young, you did something risky, and you're going to be anxious unless you retest at 12 weeks. Do it -- not for the science, but for your own peace of mind. And whatever happened, I hope you've got a memory you can both learn from and also cherish -- you gave and received affection. Be safe from now on. Cheers.
