A member asked:

Hello i am 28 weeks pregnant and my blood work came back with wbc of 18.2 and absolute neutrophils 13.50. what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May be normal: Bacterial infections are the commonest cause of elevated WBC. If you do not have fever, it is unlikely to be bacterial infection. In some woman pregnancy itself is associated with high WBC count. If you have any other symptoms, like fever, burning on urination, headaches etc, it would be prudent to consult your doctor.
