A member asked:

Recently has blood work come back and my nuetrophils were low , i believe they were at 1.60 . white blood cell count was within range . what does this mean ? is it concerning?

I would think that it would be best to ask the Physician who ordered the blood work up. He/she would be able to address your concerns.

All laboratory/imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it may be useful to repeat the test, a neutrophil count of 1.6 is not a cause for alarm. Wish you good health!
