A member asked:

Hi i had a endoscopy jan 6th and just have a mild inflamed esophagus. it feels like i have a hernia near my esophagus but wouldn't they find that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe not: Small hiatal hernias can slide up and down easily through the opening in the diaphragm, and therefore can be easily missed on endoscopic examination. Hope this helps!
