Dysphagia: This is called dysphagia or pain on swallowing, it is hard to know the cause without proper evaluation. It can be anything from a motility disorder to an allergic reaction to a fungal infection to anxiety to reflux esophagitis /ulcer to a tumor. You should have your gastroenterologist take a look via endoscopy.

No usually not: Anxiety itself should not cause any significant pain or difficult in swallowing. You are at a higher risk of Candidal esophagitis due to steroid use, please discuss with your physician.

Thrush: You may have thrush. Thrush is a yeast infection of the throat and esophagus commonly seen with conditions such as diabetes and medications that suppress immunity like prednisone. I suggest seeing your doctor for confirmation and treatment.
