Minimal suppression: The key to the immune system being suppressed from prednisone is typically based more on the duration of therapy. (assuming you are otherwise healthy) Short term use days to couple weeks can be fairly safe . Still would rec healthy eating, avoiding people you know are sick, and good hand washing is probably key to decreasing your risk of infection.
