Specializes in Sports Medicine

Sub-specialization: Several sub-specialties exist within orthopedics. Orthopedic residency training is designed to expose and prepare doctors for each of these. After residency, many orthopedists pursue a general practice and others will specialize further. Examples of orthopedic sub-specialties include: Sports medicine, foot and ankle, hip and knee, spine, trauma, orthopedic oncology, pediatric orthopedics.
