Balanced diet: Children need a balanced diet with protein, carbohydrates and fats. The amount of each varies by age. More importantly is that children need nutritious foods and very little processed foods and refined sugars in their diet. Children need to be given fruits for snacks instead of candy and chips. They need to drink water, milk or juices instead of sodas.
