Talk to your doctor: Mirtazapine is an antidepressant and it not typically used for insomnia per se. Insomnia can be a symptom of depression and anxiety, and so if the mirtazapine controls depression and anxiety, then sleep should improve. However the dose of the drug should probably not be based solely on the degree of insomnia. Talk to the prescribing doctor about ways to improve your sleep.
