Some info: Without an actual examination, I cannot give specific medical advice on your particular health. sleepiness, weight gain are two of the main problems with mirtazepine (remeron). It is chemically a bit different from other anti-depressants and prozac, paxil, zoloft (ssri's), wellbutin, or Effexor (venlafaxine) are different anti-depressants that are chemicallyh distinct from Remeron and likely to give diff result

It is best to discuss medication with your Psychiatrist who knows your medical history for a thorough evaluation and recommendations for treatment. If you are not confident with your Doctor please see another for a 2nd opinion. Have a physical exam to rule out illness and see a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple forms of psychotherapy .
