Excision nevus: You either did not have exactly explained to for what was the procedure or you did not understand. Sounds like you had an 'incisional biopsy'. Thus only a portion was removed just to obtain a diagnosis. If that diagnosis was for complete excision than you need a second procedure. Otherwise 'excisional biopsy' was what you might have thought you were getting. Best to discuss with your doc...
