Is it ethical for an anesthesiologist to deliberately give me Zofran (ondansetron) during surgery when i'm intolerant & have a red arm band with it listed?
I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy done 6 days ago due to my gallbladder functioning at 0% (no gallstones). Each day since the surgery, my nausea has gotten worse despite the use of Zofran, Pepto Bismol, etc. Is this normal?
Is it common for someone with super slow metabolism to still feel nauseated from general anesthesia 20+ hours after a 90-minute lap surgery? Currently on zofran, pain has kicked back, unable to eat yet due to nausea/vomiting. What else may cause it?
Had persistent nausea. Had gallbladder out. 1 week post-op, still loss off appetite and nausea. Zofran (ondansetron) doesn't always help.
I have a cough, bad nausea and fever. My doc gave me Zofran (ondansetron) 4mg 3x day. 4 isn't enough anymore can I double the dose or is that not safe?
