Not necessarily: Depends on antibiotic resistance of the strain of bacteria in question, and location and severity of infection.

Depends: The gram negative bacteria can be difficult to treat for a variety of reasons, anaerobes, hard to diagnose, difficult to grow. Same for gram positives. Treatment options are directed by the symptoms, culture results and response to treatment. Be well.
