Probably not: Not necessarily. Good precautions should keep you away from these infections.

Yes: It does depend on where the infection was and how it was contracted. Also, which antibiotics were used. That said, if it was successfully treated and you are doing well now, i wouldn't worry about it too much. I would eat a lot of yogurt and take probiotic supplements for your long term gastro health.
