Do you continue to lose weight if diabetes left untreated?

Puzzling question: Are you asking about insulin dependent type 1 or type 2 more often seen in older overweight people. Diabetics loose weight by spilling glucose into the urine. If they are a type 1, this spins out of control and they die. The lifespan of an untreated type 1 can be measured in weeks or months. Type 2 diabetics often don't get as sick, but suffer the long term consequences of high blood sugars.

Diabetes symptoms.: Unintentional weight loss, incessant hunger, incessant thirst, desire to eat and drink constantly, blurry vision, tingling in the fingers and toes are symptoms of diabetes. These will all continue and worsen of diabetes is left unchecked. More important though would be the other medical stuff that'll happen - heart attack, stroke, kidney damage, eye damage, nerve damage.

Yes, but not healthy: Type 1 diabetes mellitus or severely uncontrolled type 2 diabetes mellitus will result in weight loss of a very unhealthy kind! The weight loss is the result of not being able to properly utilize energy & your body breaks down protein (muscle) for energy as well as fat, in a way that produces ketones which can cause something called ketoacidosis, which can cause coma & death.
