Main source: Of high triglycerides is sugar in the diet. EPA should always be taken with GLA in a ratio of 8 to 1

FISH OIL RATIO: Studies have shown that to have the greatest effect on the lowering of triglycerides there needs to be both types of fish oils present in the supplement. The DHA:EPA ratio may range anywhere from 2:1 all the way to 1:2. As you can see the range is quite wide which really means that there is still much to learn. We know both oils are optimal, we're just not sure of the best ratio.
