Toddler w/ tubes. go feb to have them taken out. she has what pediatrician called a severe infection in right ear. ped wants us to call ent. why?

Assessment: If she still has a severe infection in the right ear, your pediatrician may want an assessment before the tubes are pulled. If the infection is coming from the middle ear, the tube is enabling drainage. It is also possible the infection/ reaction may be related to the tube which is a foreign body.
