It depends: This is between him and his physician, who's familiar with his health situation. What you can do is share in whatever dietary restrictions (perhaps low-cholesterol and/or low saturated fat), and especially take part in family fitness time. You're young and this is a great opportunity to come together as a good family sharing whatever sports / fitness activities you like best.
