Maybe: The real question is how you will find the courage to deal with the strain that the next few days will present. This is a time when female friendship, and the support of anyone who loves you, will be very helpful. While a majority of these lesions are not malignant, we need to be sure. Remember one woman in two has a breast biopsy at some time. Remember the brave ones who've gone before.

Biopsy: You have been referred to the surgeon most likely to organize a biopsy. A tissue sample can be taken from the mass to determine if it is benign or malignant. Most breast masses are benign but it is very important to have this evaluated.
