A member asked:

After taking 8th dose of clindamycin i got immediate heartburn in my throat and esophagus. still bad a day later. should i stop? is this common?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pill irritation: this sounds like you had one of the capsules stick in your lower esophagus. This occurs if you do not drink enough liquid when you take the pill. The pill does go on, but leaves an area of inflammation. If it does not improve of you have any bleeding, contact your doctor.
