Night Guards: There are many different types of custom night guards, both in design and using different types of materials. Sometimes it's best to fabricate an upper night guard, sometimes it's best to use a lower one and often it doesn't matter. Each case is different based upon many factors. Some dentists also have more training as to which ones to use and why. Discuss this with your own dentist.
