No: bath should not interfere with obtaining satisfactory tissue for Pap. When done properly, the swab should exfoliate cells from the cervix where if staining reveals atypical cells then a bx is performed. Abnormalities are only due to molecular changes in the surface cells and not whether warm water will alter such changes.
