A member asked:

Can menstrual cycles lasting between 35-40 days be considered normal for pcos? i know that is outside of the normal range but am confused if additional medical investigation would be required.

Not concerning: One of the cardinal features of PCOS is Oligomenorrhea (infrequent periods). How infrequent can vary greatly from patient to patient. Going 35-40 days between periods is not concerning for someone with PCOS. Normal menstrual cycles can be up to 35 days apart.
