What do many follicles in ultrasound indicate each month (more than 12)? does it indicate more fertility or less as i am confused with pcos and the whole thing. i ovulate (proof from blood tests) so i cannot understand how this will effect fertility?

If ovulation testing was positive (LH surge), "multiple (unruptured) follicles" seen with ultrasound does not imply any "effect on fertility". PCOS is diagnosed secondary to failures in ovulation. The presence of multiple follicles may indicate failures to ovulate on multiple occasions (with no mature eggs released). See a reproductive endocrinologist for possible ovulation induction.
