Calculus: If you're talking about the hardened deposits on the lingual side of your lower teeth, it's called calculus (tartar). It needs to be scraped off with specialized dental instruments. You probably have more where you can't see, so it's best to visit a local dentist for a thorough exam and cleaning. Left untreated, the bacteria can cause gum disease.
