Stains ?: Do you smoke or drink coffee or tea? This may be staining. Your actual teeth may be healthy but not look it. Ask your dentist to clarify the statement and to explain what you are seeing.

Sound like: Sounds like you may have calculus or tarter buildup. Although those teeth may be cavity free and healthy, leaving the calculus can eventually lead to periodontal (gum) issues. See your dentist to resolve this.
