Went to dr for right sided lower rib pain. dr did ekg. machine showed abnormalities but dr said it read perfect. does machine show false stuff often?

It could...: There are times that the EKG computer system fails to give an accurate reading. That's why it is important that the doctor reviews the results. If there is any doubt and you are still experiencing chest pains then discuss it with him/her. Maybe other tests might be needed or a Cardiology consult as well.
