A member asked:

What does it mean if the newborn has bloody meconium if the mother has placental separation ? and how we can manage him

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Meconium = stressed.: When in fetus is stressed. he will often pass a bowel movement, called meconium. If the placental separates from the uterine wall before the baby is born, there will be bleeding too. The placenta is the link to mother's oxygen. Deliver the baby ASAP, c-section, suction mouth and trachea before baby breathes, and then give oxygen and respiratory support after birth if needed. I hope baby is ok
