It is possible: Meconium can be tested to look for various drugs. Amphetamines are in the list of drugs that are screened for. Meconium starts to develop somewhere between the 12th and 16th weeks, so technically, yes, it would be possible to detect. If your use has been "recreational" then I would be more worried about the effects it may have on your child: prematurity, low birth weight, possible withdrawal...

If they look: Use after 12 weeks of either may be found in trace amounts in the meconium, even if stopped at 5 months. Cord blood would not usually pick it up that far out, but that is not where they look.Babies urine shows recent exposure but If they are looking for drugs, they go to the meconium for the most reliable data. If used legally, no problem, but in my state illegal use will send baby home with CPS
