Might be effective: Depends upon organism causing possible UTI. Best to get a urinalysis with urine culture if UA is positive. That will provide answer. There are still other antibiotics which can be used if necessary. Zithromax is not usually prescribed for a UTI & may well be ineffective.

Not the best for UTI: Zithromax is not a common choice for urinary tract infections. It's spectrum of activity does not include many of the bacteria that commonly cause UTIs.

Unlikely: The germs causing UTI's are rarely sensitive to a Zpac. With your history, your best bet is to verify the UTI with a real urine culture and sensitivity.This can document or exclude the UTI and indicate what antibiotic would work that you could take.
