A member asked:

Is eye flashes from retinal detachment more visible when in dark room or when you look at the bright sky?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Flashes of light: Flashes from a retinal tear or detachment are generally more visible in darker environments. This is an eye emergency especially if associated with floaters. Migraines can also cause fairly distinct eye flashes that last from a minute or two to 30 min and are evident in both well lit and dark environments.
