Infection: New onset of painful sores. I do not know the rest of your history, but I would be suspicious for infection. Given this has been ongoing for two weeks you should be seen

Ankle Sores: Any wound of the legs and feet that have not healed in 10-14 days should be seen by a doctor ASAP. They could be due to diabetes, poor circulation, insect bites, and trauma to name a few. The first thing is to avoid infection. Clean them hydrogen peroxide, apply antibiotic ointment, and cover with bandages. Do not use tap water because it's not sterile. Take pictures of them to show the doctor.

Sore ankles: I would suggest you see a wound care specialist or a podiatrist as soon as possible. You do not want to deal with wounds for too long, they can become infected and cause more serious issues.

Wound care: Podiatrist or wound care center. If you have redness, swelling, pus, malodor then you may have infection. Either way the ankle can be superficial in some places and it is important not to allow infection to start because the bone is right underneath it in many cases.
