Resting ecg: An ECG can be likened to a window upon the heart, the appearance and interpretation is an act of pattern recognition from which inferences can be made regarding cardiac status. It may thus reveal ischemic changes from which one may infer the presence of obstruction to blood flow to the heart muscle.
