You need: an MRI before the next step can occur. If you have had one (POST-OP your prior surgery), sounds like INSTABILITY of one of the tendons in the ankle! Hope this helps! Dr Z

2nd opinion: If you are not getting a satisfactory answer and if you are having trouble, you might consider a second opinion. Popping when you move your foot would typically be caused by some form of subluxation or instability of the ligaments or tendons in the foot/ ankle.
