Bump on tongue: A visual and clinical examination is vital to any diagnosis. Any lump, bump or sore in the mouth should be evaluated by a dentist or an oral surgeon, especially if it has not healed within 10 days. The exam can provide recommendations for treatment.

Bump: Any pain, bleeding, or swelling deserves investigation. The Bump needs to be examined by your Dentist, or preferably an Oral Surgeon. The area on your teeth that is irritating your tongue has to be reshaped. And was a biopsy done of the bump to assure that it is non-cancerous? Best treatment may be to reshape the teeth and surgically remove the affected area.
