Old blood: Although it's not very unusual to have some dark red, brown, or even black blood or clots sometimes- which typically represents old blood from in the uterus, cervix, or vagina from previous periods- it's a bit more unusual to have an entire period of old blood. You may consider seeing your doc just to have her examine you for reassurance.
