Bleeding: It sounds like you have dysfunctional uterine bleeding. This is caused when you do not ovulate and your hormones continue to stimulate the lining of the uterus until it sloughs off with heavy bleeding. The bleeding can last a long time and sometimes you need a D&C to stop it and regulate your periods again. You need a good exam for this and to rule out other problems.
