Possibly: Your question is a difficult one to answer. Certainly patients with known epilepsy could have a normal eeg. A positive eeg does not mean you will have a seizure again but it might show a seizure tendency. If your only seizure was 14 years ago and you've been seizure-free off of medicine, then the odds are that you won't have another seizure. Seeing a neurologist for new eeg would help.

Only good at time: An EEG is a real time test, only good for the time being done. Many people with epilepsy have normal EEG between seizures. The likelihood of having a sexond seizure after a first non provoked seizure is approximately 50%, so eventhough you had an abnormal EEG, you may never have another.
