Vertebral Fractures: If you have a burst fx of T11 and L1 then i would hope that you are seeing either an orthopedic or neurosurgeon. You mention non paralyzing, but are there any neurologic symptoms such as weakness, numbness down the legs. If the answer is no to the above then i would anticipate a good prognosis. There may be some degenerative changes down the road, but i would discuss this with your doctor.

Varies: It varies in part on some other characteristics of the fracture, such as for example the overall alignment of the spine and the degree of stenosis of the neural canal. That being said, the majority of patients with a burst fracture of the spine without neurologic deficit will go on to make a good recovery, whether treated in a brace or if surgery is required.
