I have a burst fracture in my l1 vertebrae and have been in a tlso brace for the past 9 weeks. i still have a high pain level, often - is this normal?

Yes : Burst fracture is usually result of direct blow injury as MVA. Healing takes time . Psi cones also from muscles, nerves, tendons alongside the spine . Once neurosurgeon clears you off brace - keep PT. Pain medicine consult with MD . Get off narcotic ASAP.
