Possible causes: Common causes for your symptoms include blepharitis and lagophthalmos/dry eye. Blepharitis is an inflammation of the rims of the eyelids that can be treated with rx eyedrops and home lid hygiene, and lagophthalmos is when a person doesn't close their eyes all the way when they sleep, leaving a sliver of eye to dry out overnight. This is treated with eye lubricants. See your eye md to find out.

Get an exam: Although your symptoms cold be just dry eyeor corneal slelling you need an exam to determine full cause and treatment. Borh of the above condirions csn be treated with drops.
