This is about my friend who is 58. she had blurry vision in one eye today for about 20 mins... first time it's happened... no pain and eventually returned to normal?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor. What you described could be a transient ischemic attack and warrants an evaluation. Wish you and your friend good health!

Needs consultation: The sudden blurring could be due to many causes including glaucoma, retinal or vitreous detachment, but also blood flow such as amaurosis fugax, and this needs to be pursued ASAP. See an ophthalmologist, but also screen via carotid duplex, and also check for inflammation (acute phase reactant screen)
