Eye infection and VA: Depending on where the infection was, vision often returns to normal (ie, vast majority of viral and bacterial conjunctivitis, cornea ulcers, retina infections). However, if infection affect central cornea, macula, or is severe (endophthalmitis) vision may take much longer to return or not return to 20/20. Eye MD can help determine prognosis.
