Perhaps because: P.O.T.S. Does have higher female ratio; about 5:1 women to men if you measure. It may well be due to p.O.T.S. Having an autoimmune component to it. Females are at higher risk for autoimmune diseases for a lot of interesting reasons. Three quarters of patients suffering from all autoimmune diseases are also women. Pregnancy can be an autoimmune trigger. Theories are too many to list here.
