Week: Inflamation can improve over a week or so but the dialted vein (hemorrhoid) does not disappear. It may become inflamed again. It can gradually get worse until u opt for excision, or banding, or radio frequencyr or other option to remove the problem vein. That is the only definitive treatment. Still, if inflamation improves + diet/lifestyle changes help limit future flareups u dont need surgery.

Depends on symptoms: Hemorrhoids are a normal part of our body, we are born with 3 with an external and internal component. First, never assume anorectal problems are due to hemorrhoids, should get checked. Outside component causes irritating symptoms like itching burning stinging and swelling. Inside part can cause painless red bleeding and protrusion. With sitz bath and topical steroid should improve within week
