Costochondritis: Pain behind your shoulder blade can be caused by inflammation of the space between your shoulder blade and your ribs or the muscles between the ribs can become inflammed, both can cause pain on deep inspiration, both are usually self limited and can be managed with nsaids. If pain persist or worsens would certainly recommend you see a physician.
