Yes: It sounds like your son is having significant reflux with any increase of abdominal pressure. His case is a bit extreme and he may benefit from medicine to help treat his reflux. A barium swallow would help evaluate just how severe the problem is. Once children are walking the reflux often gets better so it is a bit unusual in a two year old.

Reflux: Reflux can cause vomiting with laughing or coughing. If reflux exists then problems in the chest, such as asthma can develop. Reflux can be treated. A doctor should evaluate the problem.

Vomiting: Some kids do haves very easy gag and wind up gagging and vomiting with very small triggers. When kids are vomiting with laughter i usually ask if there is coughing with laughter or exertion(exercise) also. Cough variant asthma can be just coughing and vomiting and not necessarily wheezing. Maybe discuss this with your doctor especially if there is a family history of asthma.
