Statin: A statin such as crestor, lipitor, (atorvastatin) zocor, pravachol, mevaor, or leschol - these are the drugs that have the been shown most rigorously and consistently to improve outcomes (as opposed to just changing a cholesterol number).

Cholesterol: You should speak with your doctor relative to your status and if you need meds for cholesterol. Our standard is usually the statin family but some times other agents are used. There isn't enough info here to know if or what you need.
