Should i be concerned about neck pain todayfollowing dental - gum grafting surgery yesterday ?

Concern: To be concerned is always good. If not resolved see a doctor. Unlikely related to your graft surgery. Prolonged neck extension could cause strain.

Neck pain: I would consult your periodontist ( hope you had your tx by a specialist not a general dds). One possible reason could be the length of the procedure and the position your neck could have been in. Overall achiness may also spread to the neck but he/she is the person to address your concern with.

Muscles v disc issue: Holding the neck in a certain position for a while can cause the muscles to be in spasm and pain. Most of us have some disc degeneration over time and holding the neck back can aggravate that. Probably unrelated to the gum surgery.
